About Damien Castaneda

I can remember as a 19 year-old design student sitting alongside peers decades my senior, wondering whether in time I too would change my profession, whether I could sustain the same excitement in graphic design over a lifetime? Thirty years later I look back over a career from which I never strayed, surely a reflection of good parenting, a faith in one's abilities, and a tribute to the work itself.

Serving for a decade as Art Director for national American consumer magazines in the 2000’s taught me the fine art of working fast, being resourceful, and fashioning originality out of virtually nothing.

As Art Director for Athens-based BeCommunicated, I was given a unique insight into the economic and political challenges facing Greece, and a chance to advance her interests through my own vision.

I am an organized, proactive, and highly detail-oriented project manager with a deep knowledge of design, typography, photography, illustration, and video.

I look upon all design projects as a personal vocation worthy of my deepest artistic investment.
